Why people stay

Mind

Judo is a moving meditation. You’ll think about balance, timing and leverage while your body is busy — and the thinking turns out to be half the practice.

Body

Balance, core strength and general fitness — plus learning to fall properly. You’re far more likely to fall than to be attacked, which makes falling the most useful thing in the room, especially as you get older.

Mutual Benefit

Mutual welfare and benefit is Jigoro Kano’s cornerstone, and it’s the reason this club works. Your partner’s progress is your progress. In looking after them, you look after yourself.
